Overview
This policy applies to Daywarden, an iPad household-planning app developed by Dagger Development. Daywarden does not require a Daywarden account, email address, or child account.
Information stored on the iPad
Daywarden stores its household-planning database on the iPad. Depending on what you add, this can include the household name; profile names, colors, symbols, and optional photos; internal events; tasks; shopping items; dinner plans; and typed-command history.
Dagger Development does not operate a server that receives this household-planning database in Daywarden’s initial release.
Optional permissions and services
Daywarden requests access only when you choose a related feature:
- Calendar: to read events from calendars you select and, after confirmation, write an event to Apple Calendar. Internal Daywarden events work without Calendar access.
- Notifications: to schedule local reminders on the iPad.
- Photos: to choose an optional profile photo.
- Microphone and Speech Recognition: for voice commands when that feature is used. Speech recognition is provided through Apple system services and is subject to Apple’s availability and privacy terms. Typed commands do not require these permissions.
- Apple Music: to read and control current playback through Apple system media services.
You can review or change system permissions in iPad Settings.
Optional Spotify connection
If you choose to connect Spotify, Daywarden uses Spotify’s authorization and App Remote services to control playback through the Spotify app. A Spotify authorization token is stored in the iOS Keychain. Spotify may process information associated with its service according to your Spotify account settings and Spotify’s privacy policy.
Use Disconnect Spotify in Daywarden to remove the Spotify authorization token stored by Daywarden. Spotify’s privacy policy is available at spotify.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
The audited Daywarden initial-release source does not include a Dagger Development analytics service, an advertising SDK, or cross-app tracking. Daywarden’s optional Apple and Spotify integrations use their respective platform services for the feature you choose.
Support communications
If you email Dagger Development for support, Dagger Development receives the email address and information you choose to send. That information is used to respond to your request and may be retained as reasonably needed for support and business records. Do not send passwords, account credentials, payment information, or unnecessary private household details.
Retention and deletion
You can delete supported entries within Daywarden. Deleting Daywarden removes its local app database from that iPad, subject to backups managed by you or Apple. Events you intentionally wrote to Apple Calendar can remain in Calendar until removed there. iOS manages Keychain items and device backups according to Apple’s system policies.
Children’s information
Daywarden can store local household profile names and optional photos, but the initial release does not create online child accounts or send those profiles to a Dagger Development server. Parents and guardians should choose what information to enter on a shared iPad.
Changes
If Daywarden’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before or when the change takes effect, and the effective date will be revised.
