Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. Daywarden does not require a Daywarden account, email address, or child account.
Where is my household data stored?
Daywarden stores its household-planning database on the iPad. The initial release does not provide a Daywarden cloud-sync or cross-device collaboration service.
Is Apple Calendar required?
No. Internal Daywarden events work without Calendar permission. If you connect Calendar, Daywarden can show events from calendars you select and can write an event only after the related confirmation.
Why did I not receive a reminder?
Open iPad Settings, find Daywarden, and confirm Notifications are allowed. Daywarden schedules local notifications, so the related item must still exist on the iPad.
Does “Ask Daywarden” use online AI?
No. Typed household commands use deterministic rules in the app. Typed household command text is not sent to an external AI provider.
How do I use Wall Display?
Open Home and tap the display button near the clock. Use Exit Display to return to the normal dashboard.
How do music controls work?
Apple Music is the default music provider. If Spotify appears as a provider in your installed version, connecting it requires the Spotify app to be installed and signed in. Spotify availability can depend on your account eligibility and Spotify’s services. You can disconnect Spotify from Daywarden or switch back to Apple Music at any time.
How do I remove my data?
Delete supported entries within Daywarden. Deleting the app removes its local app database from the iPad. Events you intentionally wrote to Apple Calendar can remain there until you remove them in Calendar.
Permissions
Calendar, Notifications, Photos, Microphone, Speech Recognition, Apple Music, and Spotify access are optional. You can review system permissions in iPad Settings. Spotify can be disconnected inside Daywarden.
